“For me, it’s about doing our bit to ensure that we are living in a sustainable way, so the earth is here for future generations.”
Jon has a deep connection with the outdoors and a passion for protecting it, especially since moving to the Lake District to be closer to the fells and lakes he loves. An experienced fell walker, Jon joined Cotswold Outdoor six years ago and loves nothing more than sharing knowledge and expertise about the latest kit and the surrounding area, so our customers can enjoy the outdoors to the fullest, in the most sustainable way possible.

BEGONIA
Cotswold Outdoor Expert, Newcastle
“Adventure means happiness. It means surprise, by what you can see, by what you can feel. It’s about not knowing what is going to happen and just tackling anything. That’s adventure.”
Begonia has a passion for hiking fast and has been working for Cotswold Outdoor for just over three years. She believes that being an in-store expert is not only about helping our customers make the right choice when it comes to their kit; it’s also about drawing upon your own experiences of the outdoors and sharing those too.

MARK
Cotswold Outdoor Expert, Droitwich
“We only have one planet and we really do need to look after it. Sharing outdoor spaces really allows us to appreciate it and to understand how we can protect our environment.”
Mark has a passion for adventure, especially ones in his self-renovated campervan. He’s worked for Cotswold Outdoor for eight years and loves to meet like-minded people who have a shared passion for the outdoors, but also a shared understanding about how fragile it is. To Mark, sustainability doesn’t mean not having the equipment you need to spend time outdoors, it’s about choosing the right kit, then looking after it and making it last.

CHARLIE
Cotswold Outdoor Expert, South Cerney
“The outdoors to me… it’s my life. It’s everything. A safe place and somewhere in which to find space just for me. It’s definitely shaped who I am. Without it, I wouldn’t have the confidence that I do. It’s given me so much enthusiasm for life.”
Growing up on a farm, the outdoors has played a big part in Charlie’s life for as long as she can remember. She started working for Cotswold Outdoor when she turned 16, and eight years later she still brings that same passion to her job when talking to customers about their adventures. She loves sharing her own experiences and feels especially proud when customers are inspired to go out and experience the places she loves.
