Our men's and women’s waterproof jackets range includes everything you need for your next winter adventure, whether you're beating the chill on a woodland hike, staying warm on a family camping trip, hitting the crag on your latest climb, or cycling on a wet December trail. All crafted from premium durable fabrics and materials and built for insulation in the harshest elements, our extensive hand-picked selection of stylish and practical waterproof jackets are fit for all pursuits.

Whatever your needs, we offer jackets with an abundance of features, from GORE-TEX™ membranes and sustainably-sourced components, you’ll be insulated, comfortable, and dry, whatever the conditions. Or if you need some new fleeces, we've got a great range of styles and sizes to suit everyone. All from top brands including Berghaus, Mountain Equipment, Patagonia, Rab, and The North Face. Whatever and wherever your adventures are, we’ve got you covered.

Waterproof jackets are designed to keep you dry even in persistent rain, using advanced fabrics and technology to block water completely. Water-resistant jackets, on the other hand, only protect against light showers and are not suitable for prolonged exposure to heavy rain.

Waterproof jackets use special membranes or coatings with microscopic pores that block water from entering while allowing sweat vapour to escape. This ensures you stay dry from rain on the outside and comfortable by preventing moisture build-up inside the jacket.

There are three main types: membrane, coated, and laminate. Membrane jackets (like GORE-TEX) offer superior waterproofing and breathability, laminates are durable and breathable, while coated jackets are more affordable but may be less breathable, making them ideal for everyday use.

Regular gentle washing with a technical cleaner (not ordinary detergent) is essential to maintain breathability and waterproofness. Over time, reproofing with a recommended product like Nikwax helps restore the jacket’s water-repellent finish, especially if it starts to absorb water instead of repelling it.

Consider the intended activity, breathability, fit, and durability. Lightweight, breathable jackets suit running or cycling, while more robust, durable options are better for hiking or mountain use. Everyday waterproofs offer a balance of protection and comfort for general use.
